The NC pub school dist from which I retired last June had its $21m grant terminated. It was due to last for 2 more years with an add'l possible 3 years. The district, very rural and poor, used the grant as a recruiting tool. It also awarded bonuses to teachers for exemplary evals and test scores. 😩
