I'm pretty certain the reason Sanji's been left out of the castle exploration segment is because he'd see that mark in the throne room and say they have to move NOW

It’s really funny how so many people perceive Sanji as this unserious doofus when so much of the time he has to be left behind because otherwise the dramatic irony of the adventure would be lessened bc he’s just that smart and perceptive
