increasingly of the opinion that in order to work as a professional software engineer you should need to take and pass a standard code of ethics every few years

Every 6 months I have a whole bunch of compliance stuff to do. Anti money laundering, insider trading, privacy, ethics, DEI, bystander intervention, etc.
I'm glad to work somewhere with at least a veneer of giving a shit.
we don't let structural engineers design buildings that can collapse and kill hundreds of people. why do we allow software engineers to build digital products which cause psychological harm to millions
i think software engineering doesn't deserve the "engineer" title until there is a rigid code of conduct and set of professional consequences for violating it tbh
Maybe coating with alloys like rosegold or aluminum bronze or copper-nickel-silicon?
Rosegold is common accessory material.
Aluminum bronze is highly corrosion resistant and should not green.
CNS should also be corrosion resistant and is also used in electronics.

If buildings contain Iron as an important structural component, ours should be copper, since that's what most PCBs use.
