With polls showing almost 60% support for rejoining I think the Labour was elected despite their Brexit policy, not because people support their frankly baffling policy which they don’t appear to be able to explain!

Well to be honest, Starmer was very clear he wasn't for rejoining the EU, SM or CU. I believed him, thousands didn't and were convinced he'd change his mind once in power. When someone tells you who they are, it's probably best to believe them.
