Every time that happens to me I feel like "I AM THE BEST WRITER IN THE WORLD NO ONE CAN COMPARE EVERYONE ELSE IS USELESS WHEN I AM AROUND"

Only to then lose the words and go "Woe is me. I am a failure who has no use."

like I don’t want to overly romanticize the process of writing but even if 90% of the time it feels like you have to force the words out

This usually occurs for me at 3am and I have to immediately stumble over to my computer and plonk it all in before I forget it. Sleep is elusive, but the words have arrived!

yeah I’ve pretty much entirely retired the word ‘content’ out of my vocabulary for that reason
