Mount Charleston near Las Vegas is a sky island. A mountain forrest surrounded by arid land. Unique plants and animals who inhibit that sky island and no where else.
This is my Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer. I'm not sure if it's a 1st edition or not, but I've had it for a long time. Used to carry it around everywhere 'cause I was kind of a dork at the time. Still brings back a lot of good memories for me.
A few more things that make me happy: My Sentinels, three VERY customised Firstborn Marines I made, my Wraithlord and the Battleships of the Albion Sector.
I hope you can start to feel less overwhelmed soon: I've felt some really nasty overwhelm before (and recently at that) and while I'm not gonna claim it was the same for me as it is for you it certainly wasn't a pleasant place to be :(
