Elves can be so fun.... people get on them for being used in lazy ways in mediocre fantasy but like. The thing about mediocre fantasy is that it does that with basically everything. Concept of elves still has so much life and so many dimensions
Pretty much...!! Honestly I think any generic pseudo Euro fantasy RPG based media is just. Bad to treat as representative of the imaginative potential of fantasy. Sometimes it'll pull something out, but I think it tends to be bound up in the shallowest interpretation of archetypes and cliche.
