I always listen to the podcast whilst multitasking - working, gaming, cooking etc. This time I find myself leaning back in my chair, just totally zoned in listening/watching. Incredible conversations. I was grinning at times and felt a bit tearful afterwards.

Also, it seems obvious that dating apps have a Russell Martin/Southampton problem, where the app/coach who’s supposed to help you achieve your goal doesn’t care about your goal….

If Martin tried to get results, that would damage his brand. If you found a soulmate, the app loses a user/eligible single who attracts other users.

But then it’s awkward because they still pretend they care about your desired end results because they want to stay employed/on your phone.

The actual Russell Martin problem is easy to solve - just fire him. But the Russell Martin problem with dating apps is harder to solve. Is there a Sean Dyche of apps with a sustainable business model?
