There is no human need for health insurance. There is a human need for health CARE. The health insurance industry is 100% parasitical, adding no value of any kind. It's designed to transfer wealth from workers to insurance company owners. As such, it is the quintessential capitalist construct.

One of the most common & heartbreaking complaints I hear from seniors is that they are being denied care by their "Medicare Advantage" plan -- a private insurance plan that exploits Medicare's sterling reputation for profit. We do not need more privatization of Medicare.
