The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services has repeatedly claimed: “If you’re healthy, it’s almost impossible to die from an infectious disease in modern times.”

That is dangerously false.

That depends on their immune system. I had COVID, but not like other people did. I have an autoimmune disease that attacks me personally. So my system is willing to fight hard against everything including me. My blood like a lot of COVID survivors was submitted to design vaccine. Only thing I took

during that time period was Motrin and Melatonin. To me, it started losing smell, then taste and eventually lead to me screaming on night as a harsh pain traveled through my body. I am generally numb and don't feel things, but I did that.

It's anecdotal, but from 2008 to 2023 I was never once sick. Christmas of 2023 I had COVID. I've been sick three times since and I'm scrambling to find a WFH job.

And I wasn't "sick" from covid in the traditional sense. I had an itchy throat and tested just as a precaution. The next nine days of positive tests I felt perfectly fine.

Actually it's the other way around. Immune systems strengthen from fighting disease. COVID is barely different from the flu.
