1/ When I was sworn into the CA Bar, I took an oath to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of CA.
I promised to faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney and counselor at law to the best of my knowledge and ability.

These aren’t just words, they’re actions.
Every single person in our government has taken a similar oath, but too many are grossly failing to uphold them.
Who are we if we are not men and women of our word?
Who are we if we do not do all we can to protect our Country’s core principles?
Showing up MATTERS.
Engagement MATTERS.
Holding *everyone* accountable for their hand in this unconstitutionality MATTERS.
I am honored to be in the fight alongside all of you.

Unfortunately, oaths are simply norms. Consequences are very rare for violating an oath. Unless a crime is committed, oath-breakers have nothing to fear.
Familiar to most: if you lie on bluesky, it's no crime. But if you lie in court, it's perjury.
In the professional context, oaths bind you to a set of ethical rules. Disobedience has consequences independent of criminal sanctions.
And thank YOU for all that you do! 🙏🏼
The people united will never be divided.

Make sure to let the FL bar know that she’s failing to do so.

I take it to encapsulate “uphold,” as well.
As should everyone in the legal profession and certainly those in public office - I believe theirs is “support and defend.”
Nuremberg trials 2.0 can’t get here quickly enough.
