I was trying to get my son into being a stateside SAFC fan. He was skeptical. But then he saw Jobe's big brother hit the bicycle kick in the Euros (and saw Pickford being Pickford), and the tangential connections were appealing enough that now he's amenable to following the best club of them all.
One of those places that we've struggled to get people together regularly... had a couple of meets at The Banshee, but nothing regular (like Toronto or NYC). Should be bigger numbers there...
I've never met another SAFC fan here. Fans of other teams in the championship and League One. But never SAFC. Their loss. I started following during the Big Sam/ Jermaine Defoe Great Escape year and never looked back. It's been brutal but also incredible.
Unfortunately, the games that have been rescheduled for TV are not being kind... We really need a 5.30pm UK kickoff on a Saturday, to be able to get any sort of numbers of people out 1/2
