i'll put it this way. One of the loading screen tooltips is informing you that you can job switch cancel out of Named Skills, and that you can i-frame dash if you perform a d-input alongside that job switch cancel. It's that kind of game.

The only thing that game needs is a mini-map. It's really fun to play co-op and you can all eat the cheesier chunks of the plot together.

huh, this game was sold as "Final Fantasy Souls" and the vibes were off for me in the beta.

I’m working my way to rift level 100 and honestly it’s felt like a huge mixed bag (I have 350h in Nioh 1/2). Story is baaaad, but game kinda picks up around rift level 30-50? But at that point you’re that many hours into the game or more. Very build-centric compared to other TN games.

Did you ever end up giving Slitterhead a shot? I keep up with your takes (with which I often align!!) and remember some trepidation…

Personally would vouch that Slitterhead is absolutely terrific. Genuinely feels novel in a lot of the brawling/messy in a really fun way.

I played the alpha demo they released and loved it back then. Grabbed it for super cheap on sale and it's been sitting on my shelf for a rainy day when I'm in an action game drought and I can't wait
