No we aren't. Just those who work for Woodside and the Woodside Government. The rest of us are not impressed at all.
And the federal government ignoring environmental protection reports because Woodside wants to extend their operations is not cool.

I counted them under ecosystem. The 2011 MHW shut some fisheries for over 6-12 months.

It is also worth mentioning that the continued (and obsessive) NSW fight to reduce WA’s GST share, together with a lack of significant federal funding (which supports WA to diversify away from fossil fuels), actively keeps WA clinging to its dependent fossil fuel income streams.

Methane and all natural resources will sadly continue to be exploited when WA is so massively over reliant on its $’s. Resultantly, environmental protections will almost always continue play second fiddle to keeping the States lights on for any political party in charge of the WA economy.

we aren't all pro LNG, fossil fuels etc
We are a mining/resource state
Australia makes it's money
during Covid - the GFC WA resource sector kept the country afloat
with Port Hedland being the bread bowl of the country

its not easy to make those changes
