Imagine thinking it is okay to physically corner and push two women like this, in order to shout at them what Elon Musk thinks about a public emergency in which he has no locus, in an area with which he has absolutely zero connection. WTAF

A lot of third-rate journalists are going to be behaving like this in the Musk dystopia. The same journalists will absolutely not be demanding why Trump is set on turbo-charging climate change.
Emma is BBC and, like David, is Irish. She posted about her "surfing trips being different" now.
I think they need a trip home so people can have a wee word with them.
Ridiculous behaviour.
As soon as you hear ‘Elon Musk’ you just need to switch off. He is NOT the expert on everything and people need to stop giving him oxygen and parroting his dangerous rhetoric! Terrible interviewing tactics from Sky there.
Disgusting. Has he no empathy? There are devastating fires raging and all he can do is harass the person trying to deal with the situation. Also, how is this helpful as news reporting? She doesn’t answer to the Muskrat nor should she 😠
A man who relocated Tesla from California to Texas, explicitly and publicly to avoid paying tax and is part of an incoming administration that aims to worsen the climate catastrophe, complaining about lack of money for fire depts.
A bit like our sainted farmers.
Farming has 4 times the UK average industrial accidents. I bet they don't ring for a private ambulance when laddo falls in the hay baler.
This is disgraceful ‘journalism’. Shocking in its aggression and also its ignorance (quoting Musk and incorrectly referencing budget cuts). How low our news coverage has fallen in the UK.
it’s called accountability to an elected official in a position of power, with a responsibility towards the citizens she serves. there are legitimate questions to be answered, such as the slashing of LAFD budgets in favour of the LAPD. if the media does not hold officials to account, who will?
Imagine being such an ignorant reporter that you hadn't bothered to find out why they were "running out of water". And imagine being so stupid as to think Musk would have anything well-informed to contribute to a situation. When will certain sections of the media realise that Musk is dangerous.
Quoting what Musk has to say on most subjects at this stage, disqualifies you as a journalist, not to mind abusing/ bullying two women in a corner, who is the interviewer name & shame!
If @skynewss.bsky.social thinks Musk is an authority on anything, especially after the last month, you do have to question whether they’re deluded or complicit in his clueless rhetorical outbursts.
Embarrassingly clickbate journalism on show at the very least
I was shocked, too.
I had a double take because we've never seen this from David. Unfortunately, we're going to have to accept he's shown his arse on this.
Another disappointment.
He flew all the way over there with a Murdoch-funded budget to get in the face of an elected Black woman to demand “answers” for the citizen Elon Musk?
I appreciate that because everyone watches American TV they think they know something about the US but this dude is veering wildly out of his lane.
His Ghost still haunts their Corridors, and has done for some time, - all through brexit, there were times when they were 'okay', and then times when they were full-on 'News International' crappy ...
Yeah once was a time I naively maintained if murdoch disappeared (for my sins, I subbed at news international for a desperate while), the world would become a nicer place overnight. The truth, of course, is evil fuckers like him don't sow the seed as much they drill it into the core
Exactly, since when has the K-Monster become the authoritative expert on everything. Anyone who spouts his rhetoric as though it’s reliable belongs in the 🗑️.
I worked in science for my whole career and would find at times that the data showed that my preconceptions were wrong. I never had a problem with admitting that and find it both puzzling and disturbing that Musk et al will not accept facts that contradict their ill-informed nonsense.
On X I found some people on the Right just wouldn’t listen even when you show them data and facts to support a view. They just selectively ignore it… ask them for their sources & data and you’d get blocked or abused 😬

As I said, WTAF.
I think it’s the same Sky reporter who door stepped the Mayor of New Orleans recently with the same style of questions.
They may have been legitimate questions (not sure they are) but to raise what Musk thinks disqualifies him from a response.

Recriminations can come later. Hold all the enquiries you like. But when it matters, let them get on with the job.
A fuckin horrible way to treat anyone. He should be ashamed of himself.
What’s his name??

We follow each other so he's seen my comment.
I'm actually shocked at this.
Unfortunately, there were too many showing a side we didn't know existed.
