Would this change anything other than the deficit (which Trump doesnt care about)? Or would it further the cause of destroying the Federal govt? I'm not convinced that an embargo of something that the other side wants to destroy is a sane strategy.

I think the Project 2025 lot would quite like that. They want the federal fabric to fray. PoTUSes come and go. No reason to do 'Brexit'. Just withold federal taxes. Bring down this gov't.

Also, the vast proportion of fed tax in California comes from its progressive personal taxation. Must be infuriating to know that you do that, while TX slashes corporation tax to steal jobs from CA.
