I used to get them in my legs sometimes, but I got one of those massage guns, and it helps tremendously. Also, increase your potassium intake for muscle recovery!
& the best advice i’ve gotten from a physical therapist is that if you exert in a particular position, counter stretch & exercise in the opposite direction. exerting w closed hand? stretch and exert w it open! exerting w curled back? stretch & exert w it arched! prevents knots & preserves mobility!
I use heat and ice, so a heating pad or hot rag for ten or so minutes then ice pack the same area for ten minutes. Do that back and forth a few times and it should help. Heat = more blood to the area; cold = reduce swelling.
Also, tiger balm is legit. I use that stuff all the time.
I use a rubber massage ball! tho physio (IMS specifically) and strengthening exercises have been a godsend for me - highly highly recommend if you're able to
Make sure you do stretches relavant to the area before you start and afterwards, just like a workout.
I back up what others have said about massage guns and the like, but there are also techniques to do the same without tools. I can send you if interested.

I prefer this white “Ultra” formula over the “Red” formula because the red can stain clothes & furniture.
my only other suggestions would be something topical like arnica, and taking something rounded and hard (like the butt of a hairbrush) and Kneading
