Part of this is that a lot of Dems have a good guy complex. Trump’s secret sauce is that he embraces every perspective of himself, if you hate him he embraces it, if you love him he embraces it. He’s everything to everybody. Dems want to be the good guy to everybody and people don’t trust it.
