In this Indiana diner everyone has three questions: How's the breaded tenderloin? Is the quarry hiring? And when do I get to pay 25% more for my tariffed coffee to teach Colombia a lesson?

The deal on coffee already has a profit% baked in for Colombia. Raising it to 20% means it goes up MORE than the 20% so Colombia still makes the same profit.
So, $1 will now cost $1.20 minimum, dependant on existing profit. And maybe MORE $1.75?? 😬Oops
Hey, hey, the Indianapolis Childrens Museum is okay too. And the Christmas display the people of the unincorporated town of Pulaski put on. Seriously, map dot in the middle of absolute nowhere, world class magic.
Obviously I was using hyperbole. I was born there, lived there for 28 years, left for 25 years, lived there again for 6 more years. Many of the smaller towns are wastelands.
I understand. I'm from Prairie Creek, Farmersburg (bit on the nose) was our nearest big town, we eventually took over the family farm in Ora. I am quite familiar with the small town wastelands of Indiana.
Moved to metro Detroit 25 years ago and have no real interest in moving back.
I was born and raised in Anderson. It was a decent city in the 1950s-60s. Now it is dying. Thousands of empty house population down almost 25K. I lived in New Castle/Henry county two times. It's like a flat Appalachia. A lot of drugs, poor education, no jobs. It trying to turn around a bit.
I worked for a company out of Ft. Wayne for a while about 8 year ago. Mostly Trump evangelicals. An abusive culture with a lot of lying in the company. I lasted less than a year.
And in the holly shit department! More than 4 million barrels of oil are imported from Canada every DAY. So how the hell will adding 25% to all that oil that help the US exactly? Can you say serious inflation?
The is from which point many would look at the 25% tariff. Teaching Columbia a lesson ignorantly ignoring the fact that they have a bigger lesson the will learn too.
Worker's decades past and present said it's disgusting, but it's back open, for mid tenderloins, unseasoned breakfast, but Peyton Manning did a Mastercard commercial there.
Almost nobody asks about quarries, they're not real common. Should have gone with feedlot, processing plant, factory, county/state road contractors, or trucking.
Trump raged all CAPS, his face turned red,
"Won’t take flights? Slap tariffs instead!"
But financial minds all strongly agree,
It's Americans who will pay the fee.
And we know how pissed he is that Columbia wouldn't capitulate! 2 planeloads turned back? Unfortunately they're gonna be in cages now because the 🍊💩🤡 doesn't understand how to follow directions!
Bishop Budde has been facing death threats since she asked Trump to show mercy to people fearing for their lives. Now even the President is painting her as the enemy and we can’t abandon her. Let’s show Bishop Budde she has massive support all around the world!
I guess you haven’t heard. Colombia capitulated and gave Trump their Presidential airplane to shuttle rogue Colombians back home. Turns out Colombia don’t want 50% tariffs and they would like to travel to America.

This morning news is that Colombia has backed down and is allowing planes to land.
As the old saying goes: "Scream loudly, pound your desk and carry a bazooka."
Colombia should stand firm. Trump can have all the temper tantrums he wants - the whole world buys coffee, not like there's no market for it. I think countries should just seek other trade partners if the US is going to be so volatile.
Well, they met elsewhere as it's not friendly to send military planes without agreement, and the US agreed to treat people with>a bare minimum of humanity, and flights will resume. They had increased flights to Colombia when Biden was in and it was amicable, so not so much Colombia backing down.
“Promises made, promises kept! (Ok you in the back - I need you to lower your pants at least 3 more inches. Now everyone line up again. Let’s get it right this time while the light’s still good!”
Between the eggs which have tripled in price, bacon, coffee which is spiking, oranges rotting on the trees because the workers are afraid to show up to work, driving up the price of OJ, Americans are going to have to make breakfast a Sunday only splurge.

My biggest pet peeve is when someone from a small-town treats any city like a war zone. It irritates my soul.

If you can't afford coffee...
You won't order eggs.
And... that will bring down the prices of eggs.
