@westseaurbanism.bsky.social This is what West Seattle Junction feels like to me. Skinny sidewalks with lots of people and very little bike parking. Sure would be nice to get rid of off-street parking on California and widen the sidewalks

Except that this picture suggests that you are not in danger on the sidewalk, which you still are, and that it's kind of your fault if you step into the abyss. Maybe I'm oversensitive, but I can't help seeing some victim blaming here.
I mean, what are we even doing here? This is almost intentionally hostile design. Sidewalks ending next to a 40mph (effectively 45-50mph) stroad, a 30mph neighborhood road, or if there is one it gets blocked rendering it useless for wheelchairs, strollers...
