It depends: Bikepaths can be difficult to cross if there are no zebra lines. Bikes can block busses. Bikelanes or bikestands on sidewalky or in parks can be obstacle or even danger for walking. We prefer prio for the majority who use PT or walks, not fot the cycling minority.

Totally agree. I don’t ride but I do walk, and I support infrastructure that makes it safer for me when I walk, and safer for cyclists when I drive.

Yes, I personally experienced the before and after on the Dunsmuir Bike Lane (in your picture) and the street was much more pleasant - as a pedestrian - after the change, no more cars whizzing by at speed just inches away from you.

I have to be the Debbie Downer here. Here in the States, most bicyclists don’t obey basic traffic laws and cause a lot of their own accidents! They run red lights, go through stop signs, cross traffic without looking, while thinking they always have the right of way! So let’s make safety work 4 both

Also important to remember that auto infrastructure does the exact opposite for villages, towns, and cities: costs more, makes getting around more difficult and dangerous for everyone, and makes cities hollow shells of themselves.
