Granted, it's NYT. But I wonder over how a piece as fundamentally stupid, or dishonest (or both) as this one finds its way into print. Trump has repeatedly stressed his adherence to the most regressive possible regimes of taxation, namely tariffs, as a way to stop taxation of the rich. Du-uh.
