I have a few decades on you. Been in the trenches for voter access, fair housing, homelessness and more. I have never seen America this bad either. We have become what we fought against in WWII. 1/?

I was a kid in the ‘60’s & remember how scared people were of black activists. Didn’t understand but could feel it. There were assassinations, riots, sit-ins. America was divided then too. But again, never as bad as now. I’m putting my energy to fighting-not just resisting-tho I’m doing that too.2/3
But it’s been trending this way since the 90s. Probably the 80s actually. The boomers made a ton of money in the 80s hoarded resources and then trashed my millennial cohort as lazy and entitled when we came of age during tragedy after tragedy. I’m bitter as hell.
Understandable but also broad-brush imo. I admit that people hoard money and power, exploit vulnerable, fuck up economies sometimes. My grandma lived thru the Great Depression. But that’s just it-mankind has always done this! I’ve been feeling a little despair over humanity & its history lately.
