Expressions like "Please be aware" always ping my radar as suspicious. I want to keep replying, "Aware OF WHAT?!" - because the part I find ominous is the writer doesn't have the guts to spell out what I "should" be on guard against.

Well played. I wonder what would happen if you anonymized it - or it was “I heard on (right wing news site) that the N*zi salute wasn’t a N*zi salute and that the person should be “shown grace” - would they downplay / ignore it in ten same way.
It’s incredibly fucking stupid because they absolutely understand fascist dog whistles and have reported them as such in the past. The “okay” hand symbol was added to their hate speech website because Nazis used it, despite their plausible deniability. This is so incredibly blatant and sick.
