Pete Hegseth has published three books in four years. Jonathan Chait spent the last week reading them—and concluded that Hegseth is almost certainly the most dangerous of Trump's cabinet picks. https://theatln.tc/80Muc59S

Even throwing that axe was proof of extremely poor judgement. Very poor safety at the target, people standing behind the target. Nobody with just an ounces of training and judgment would have thrown that axe
so ... when journalists and the like do these deep dives, do they just hope Senators will read their columns? Or do they share their work since we all know the Senators and their staffs won't have the time or inclination do to the work?
Pete Hegseth is by far the most worrisome and dangerous of Trump's picks. This is not about "reform" or "wokeism," it's about using the U.S. military on American soil.
It remains one deadliest wars to ever take place. Not just in the history of China, but in the history of all mankind. The most populated country on earth. A total war with itself. Millions upon millions of deaths, widespread famine and cities turned to ashes.
All because, believe it or not .....
A cult started by self-proclaimed brother of Jesus Christ.
The Taipei Rebellion
Christian nationalists are dangerous. Pete Hegseth and Gen. Flynn. Really want to turn the US military into a crusading force.
To state otherwise, is not only disingenuous, it would be a slight up lie.
It’s insane that the most common headline these days is: which pick is the worst… most dangerous…
As a working mom, I am alternately applauding the true heroes continuing the fight & hoping for the aliens to hurry up & invade to either right the ship or give us a common enemy 🤷🏻♀️
Was disappointed when I heard retired General Barry McCaffrey note that Hegseth “has written several books” as part of his praise of Hegseth when McCaffrey was a guest of Nicolle Wallace on Deadline Whitehouse.
Hegseth's views are concerning, but labeling him "most dangerous" is hyperbole. Let's focus on concrete policy debates, not personality attacks. Productive discourse requires less rhetoric, more facts.

Now, let's lock all of them up, the list is huge.
