Humiliating as shameless a figure as Eric Adams is no mean feat, but Donald Trump seems to have managed it, @dgraham.bsky.social writes in The Atlantic Daily.

I just wrote to my NY relatives asking them to write Governor Hochul demanding the removal of Mayor Adams. I implore you to do the same. It's clear Mayor Adams is now Trump's puppet threatened with refiling of the charges. He can't serve the people and Trump. https://www.governor.ny.gov/content/governor-contact-form
@theatlantic.com @kathyhochul.bsky.social @mayoradams.bsky.social @nytimes.com NY Governor Kathy Hochul must fire Adams as is her right. Let Trump retaliate then fight him in court. Congestion pricing for example isn’t worth having an indicted mayor intent on doing Trumps bidding, destroying NYC.
He does it over and over. In fact, the shameless are pretty much the only people he successfully humiliates. Liz Cheney isn't humiliated, even though Trump tries. But Ted Cruz is. Get the picture? Servility is leads to humiliation. Resistance leads to bullying, but you keep your dignity.
