"What started as US election interference has now spread to other countries. We're currently doing the same thing in Germany and other European nations."

Why is every third Atlantic article inventing a reasonable Republican to respond to rather than actually engaging with what they’re actually in real life doing?
Seems to me there already doing a pretty good job.
Millions...billions...trillions in waste found and eliminated.
Thousands of jobs cut that were not needed.
I have canceled my @theatlantic.com subscription, which I had for more than 8 years, because the coverage of this administration, the bad takes, and the apathy have become unethical and irresponsible.
DOGE should not be cutting any waste. It should not be able to do anything. It's a nonsense organization invented as a cover to allow unscreened, unscrupulous, ignorant and malicious actors to attack the infrastructure of government. DOGE should not be discussed as if it had any legitimacy at all.
Trump/Musk’s anti-American agenda will destroy US Gov. These deviants are empowered & don’t give a damn about efficiency. If so they wouldn’t first thing eliminate 17 Inspectors General (who last yr alone saved US $93 billion from waste/fraud..) Trump’s criminality will have disastrous consequences.
Exactly. It’s about feeding the billionaires insatiable greed. That and making sure they cause as much pain as they can on the vulnerable and poor. Cruelty IS the point! Wake the fuck up people.

Seems the wrecking ball is doing just fine
There are better ways to do "an audit."

- Review and gather info
- Make a list of wanted cuts
- Go to Congress
- Debate and discuss
- Tada, you're governing
Swinging a sledgehammer while blindfolded is not helpful. It's harmful.
