"Memorial to Politicians Who Opposed Hitler -
This row of slabs is a memorial to the 96 members of the Reichstag ( equivalent of members of Congress) who were persecuted and murdered because their politics didn’t agree with Chancellor Hitler’s. "
A historic comparison that shouldn't be discarded at any cost. One wonders whether those who voted for & continue to support Trump concern their troubled minds with this sort of insight. Or is it too difficult to take in the meaning?

Trump’s claim of a new American
Golden Age of the 1950s
sounds like Hitler’s new Third Reich,
presumed successor of the medieval
and early modern Holy Roman Empire
of 800 to 1806 (the First Reich)
and the German Empire of 1871 to 1918
(the Second Reich)

He does not understand the concepts of honor, service, or sacrifice. He sees loyalty as fealty to him and him alone.
One of Trump's many qualities that exemplify a simple fact: Trump is unfit to lead a meeting, much less to rule a country.
