most healthy people will experience floaters intermittently out in bright light, usually your brain ignores them but sometimes you'll notice them because your eye is a magnifying glass and you can see your veins. If you have visual snow, its 24/7 constant + static + etc!

hmmm I couldn't really say if it affects my art or not, not that I can tell. I'm unsure if my proclivity towards drawing with very dark values is because of the noise in my vision, or just because I haven spent enough time honing my values. Chicken and egg type scenario

Holy crap this explains a lot...I don't get the pulsing ripples, but everything else, especially the little "mosquitos" are 100% there. And people wonder why I hate going outside!

That is so crazy to just be learning now after all this time. The pulsating sky void/tunnels, the after images, the static and self-light. It majorly interferes with my ability to drive and is just another reason I shouldn't be operating a car. Public transit is a civil right/accessibility right.

if you have visual snow syndrome you also experience photosensitivity and more frequent migraines and generally have a heightened response to visual (and maybe audio?) stimuli. Incredible. I seriously thought this was the default for everyone so I NEVER ASKED ghjjhg

the most hysterical part is that, frequently enough for it to be notable, I'll close my eyes and usually it looks like this (with moving wave patterns, sometimes mandalas, sometimes zigzags) and then for .1 second my visual cortex will hallucinate a skull behind my closed eyelids
