Thank you, and this is definitely a good way of looking at things. I learned to be patient in getting your miters right and/or don't be afraid to start over if things aren't working the way you planned.
Thanks for that. Intellectually I totally agree with what you're saying, and I am proud that I completed it. However, I still see the bad miters, sloppy inlay, etc. I will continue working on simply appreciating the fact that I finished a build, though.
Thank you! I do have a similar angle finder, but I appreciate the recommendation. I'm always on the lookout for helpful tools. Honestly, I think the bad miters are from user error, not bad tools (although my table saw is VEEEERY old), so I plan on taking much more care when cutting the next ones.
Very nice work! I do have a miter saw, but my workshop (which is just half of my basement) isn't conducive to me using it. I really need to get my work space in order.
The only one to see flaws is the artist. Made with love for your wife, it will be cherished.

Looks really good.
Also they aren't flaws, they are lessons π
What lessons have you learned?
I look forward to seeing your future projects π
This is probably one of the best things that I have ever bought, for my shop! And it's under $20.
