Interestingly, Trump hasn't announced a replacement for Chopra, who technically has another year as director.
(He will certainly fire Chopra on day one, but it's interesting that he doesn't want to call attention to doing that)

When we wrote the 2019 "Day One Agenda" our eyes were open that ideologues & corporations would use the courts to frustrate progress. It wasn't a reason to back down, & CFPB didn't; they made a lot of advances.
But both the ferocity & the mechanized nature of using friendly venues should shock us.

The legal system is lousy with the Federalist Society’s hand-picked far-right judges and the Calvinball Court under Roberts has demonstrated a clear willingness to decide cases by working backwards from whatever outcome their financiers want; I don’t think we can call the courts a “friendly venue.”
