I wouldn't pin this, it does nothing against the plugin apparently. SEs own system exposes more data in game than the lodestone does publicly.

Important to note. This doesn't do anything at all to prevent the plugin. Unless Square itself changes the way the blacklist works, it will remain being a problem

For the average (Japanese) person it probably works fine. Or for people with no alts. It's a combination of problems with the developer/country culture about removing people from your life and being one of the few titles with complete unrestricted access to everything the game can transmit to you.
