January 24th was one of the warmest days on record in Alaska during the month of January (1950-present). According to ERA5-Land, the statewide average was 26.7F above the 1991-2020 normal. Much of the northern half of the state was 40F to 50F+ above normal. @alaskawx.bsky.social
