Yeah. I don't think paywalling music is helpful for either the artist or the appreciator. Artists don't see fuck all of the purchase price anyway

I used to download the odd song, but if there were more than a couple I liked from an album, I'd go and buy the CD.

Yeah, fair. I've just not been in a situation where that's always been possible for me financially, personally, and supporting bands by seeing them live/buying merch is a more direct way of getting cash to them, so I've prioritized that :)
