Although they weren't played at tonight's gig in Tokyo, word on the dōri is that they sound checked both "Behind Closed Doors" and "Love Less". Perhaps they will appear in Australia...

Love Less would be a nice and unexpected addition, depending on how it's played... I'm in a big Republic phase too so Spooky or Liar or anything else would be a sweet surprise (won't happen though)

1/ "Regret", "World", "Ruined in a Day", "Everyone Everywhere", and "Special" have all been performed live at one time or another. "Times Change" has been used as intro music in recent years. It's peculiar that "Spooky", a single, was never attempted...

2/ I personally think "Young Offender" would have been a better single choice than "Spooky".

Also, how about using the lovely "Avalanche" as intro music? It would make sense in Australia, considering the wait for them after COVID curtailed their last visit.

Christ. Bad enough resurrecting State, but Behind Closed Doors is utterly dreadful.
For a band with such a rich back catalogue, Barney really does pick some absolute dross to play.

It's not on the short list of tracks I'd want resurrected. But I prefer it to much of what ended up on Get Ready, which was a bit dry in parts.

"Love Less", is a low key favourite of mine - Bernard at his most candid. But as with "Nothing But a Fool" last year, most fans won't appreciate it live.
