That top's my worst by some way. Daily partitons with subpartitions, no attempt at setting or gathering stats. Of course, most of the processing was not limited to a day or even a few days...

As a result, I already advised to remove partitioning to improve performance...
which makes me think " ... unless you are forced to by constraints like cost or performance."
But for me it's hard to tell this in proper wording.
