I think it's going to boil down to whether the military is loyal to the constitution or are willing to fall into fascism. My FIL, a Vietnam vet who is also active with the DAV, is convinced that enough senior military staff would be willing to defy orders. They're not happy about CQ Brown.
It already isn't. Just ask all the citizens that were unlawfully deported or detained as well as the Venezuelan nationals that we don't even know for sure are in a gang that were whisked away to a concentration camp. If he manages to silence the independent media, we're in trouble.
