Not new, but the Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 charging station changed my whole desk setup. The retractable cable and StandBy Mode-friendly phone mount (Qi2!) make it worth it.

CES's charger story = consumers want retractable cables *built into the charger* to obviate the "what USB-C cable works?" question.

LocalSend (https://localsend.org/) is probably one of the nicer "AirDrop for non-Apple devices"-type apps I've used in recent history. It's been working really reliably sending photos across from my Android devices to my iPhone to get them into iCloud!

I’m running Steam in a Docker container on my big chunky desktop, then streaming it to my iPad, my Steamdeck (no more battery woes!), or my TV. I’m using https://github.com/Steam-Headless/docker-steam-headless because it has built in VNC, but SteamCMD would also work.

I just started listening to the wonderful If Books Could Kill podcast. You're Wrong About alum Michael Hobbes and lawyer Peter Shamshiri tackles the question 'What if pop science books would have peer review?' The answer is pretty damning for the books but great fun for us, listeners.
