Okay, I have a few thoughts on the General Boycott and just want to share them.
I see a lot of people asking, “Why just one day?”
Most calls to action - especially when organized by a union or organizing body - will typically start with one day.

Second point that a lot of people are missing is that the call is to reduce or cease spending entirely on today.
Reduce means get only your essentials.
Cease means don’t purchase anything at all.
The final piece is a big if: IF you must spend your money today, prioritize spending your money at small businesses (ie, businesses that are not tied to a larger corporation).
And really it comes down to changing your habits.
2. Change the amount you spend when you can’t avoid bigger companies.
3. Change the dates and cadence you make your purchases.
I know we sometimes can’t think past the immediate, but this strategy has been proven successful before.
Because one thing shareholders with large (retail) corporations hate is when sales plummet at the end of the month because they can’t make it up. 🙂
People with Retail experience understand that month-end 'push', especially if January was also short!
$$$$
That’s $40,000 in lost sales. (This was just a simple example.)
