The rampage continues. The Smithsonian is in the cross-hairs as the re-whitewashing of The United States of America wends its way from institution to institution, and universities are cowering.

White Iady, as I'm standing in a former sIave quarters/kitchen, explaining how hard & expertly an ensIaved woman (a cook named Sall) worked in the 1790s, as part of my job as a tour guide at a historic Knoxville home:
Keep speaking up but stay safe. Unbelievable what is happening. Praying for the US sensible people and the world right. As a Canadian, I'm scared for our country.
It's not easy to be a black American woman at the moment - I mean, it never is, but subtext is now text, as they continue to gleefully twist their version of the term DEI into "anyone not a white man", as they systematically go about erasing America's multi-ethnic past,
As folks who don't have a lot are convinced that the recent brief (very brief) focus on non-white people in certain areas is an existential threat to the rich lives they might have one day (but almost certainly won't).
I have fought for American history for the last twenty years, knowing that the very thing I stand for is despised by so many, because there are so many others who have supported what I do.
Anyone who comments "shut up and sing" will be blocked and their comment deleted. I have always allowed dissent and criticism on my page, provided it is good faith. Bots and people acting in bad faith I do not.
Changed my whole day around tomorrow to take in βThe Shape of Power,β the sculpture exhibit at the American Art Museum that he called out. Thatβs one more heart carrying the knowledge forward.
