Unfortunately this isn’t even close to being true. Over the past half century, the wealthiest members of our society—a handful of people, relatively speaking—have extracted more than $50 trillion from the rest of the country. What’s happening now isn’t much of a phenomenon.

Murphy calls out the "Mar-a-Lago cabal" and says of the Republican spending plan, "you are taking about the most massive transfer of wealth and resources from poor people and the middle class to billionaires and corporations in the history of this country."

Of course I’d rather he say “this has been happening for decades, Dems have been complicit, no more”
Yes, America has inequality. It has generally been bemoaned with many policies & orgs created specifically to reduce inequality.
Now it is celebrated & the official goal of all gov policy.
Can we go back to supporting Murphy for trying to do something about the issue as it’s currently unfolding now or do we need to pause for more purity tests?
Real sacrifices must be made to reverse this and move our society to something far more equitable.
Divest, boycott and strike to start. Then support worker cooperatives…
Trump is the cause of almost nothing.
Trump is the symptom of almost everything.
this guy is trying to get people to understand the situation, seems like a valid approach on a complex subject.
When that wealth extraction immiserates almost everybody except the 1%, people look to the parties who claim to be on their side
The Democrats in the US and Labour here in the UK
When those parties are 100% owned by the looter class, they get desperate ..
Kudos to Murphy for using his voice, but his hyperbole is a bit reminiscent of the pathetic lies TFG routinely spews.
we
allowed
him
to
do
it.
