Last week, CDC didn’t go along with the attempted pediatric vaccine schedule change by tweet. That’s good and important! But it probably only buys us a few more months of (very patchy) access for kids. FDA is the real power broker here. We need pushback on the proposed licensing changes.

This sets up a scenario where average-risk kids are only eligible for last year’s vaccine, but higher-risk kids are recommended to receive the update. Would manufacturers make both versions? There’s little incentive to make more of an outdated vaccine just for a tiny US-only market. 11/
