When you look at this platform it has some of the best world class journalists and scholars and frankly the most intelligent members I have witnessed in years. Brain power and professionalism will always provide the muscle to defeat vile opposition.
It would’ve been Bluesky if I didn’t have alerts set up on the CBC news app on my phone. That said, I got the details on what lead up to the martial law declaration here on Bluesky (which CBC didn’t have).
Yeah it was on here quicker than I expected. I saw it via my email inbox first, but I'm rather atypical and have alerts set up for South Korean news specifically, which is...definitely not an average American experience.
Not a surprise at all. He's been pretty openly dictorial and it's been ignored largely bc conservative South Korean presidents get along with Japan better. The dude who ran against the current president was stabbed in the neck in January (luckily, he lived) by one of the president's supporters.
Me, too. This is slightly undermined by the fact that my school board doesn't think it's important enough to block yet and that's why I was able to be on it.

It took some investigating to discover it was over and had only lasted 14 hours.
It was mentioned once at Ecks, and a few times on FB, I am told. It never made the main stream media except maybe at the end of a news segment.
Is it clear as day yet, which platform is a better one to inhabit?
