Easier to fight Nazism if prominent institutions publicly oppose it than if they become captured by the powerful forces promoting it.

I mean, why *shouldn’t* the ADL condemn a Sieg Heil? Why *shouldn’t* one of the country’s most prominent rabbis condemn sharing a stage with Nazi imagery?

There's no downside to it. I just became a little cynical after having worked at a Jewish advocacy org and being involved in a lot of condemnations. It didn't change anything and made me question the political value of that kind of behavior

I would imagine the org you worked for had no ties to this sort of bile. The difference here is that YU is tied to this administration by Berman’s choice to appear, and ADL’s position vis a vis Trump and Musk is even messier. If they can’t say “not in my name,” what does that say about their names?

-Routinely amplifies ideas and talking points from Nazis
-Publicly demonized Jewish organizations that have criticized the above

His Nazi salute is the least of it. Because TPTB don't understand tech, they've let him (and other billionaires) take control of everything from satellite tech to space exploration to AI. Imagine making turning the Manhattan Project over the "private enterprise" because it was "more efficient."
