The GOP’s big bill—under consideration this week—would be an accelerator of inequality: It would reduce after-tax income for the poorest 20% of households by 10%, increase incomes for the wealthiest, and impose senseless work requirements for Medicaid, all while increasing the debt by $3 trillion.
