The state of art twitter feels so sad to me cause you can't even post a sketch without people dogpiling you because it doesn't fit their idea of what a "sketch" is.

While there are artists with big or small followings. I kinda don't like those terms either because of the implication that having a lot of followers means that you're rich which is NOT the case for most people.
I think the twitter artist community has a huge issue with insecurity. They feel like they're not feeling good about their art then no one should feel good about theirs.
It creates these weird arbitrary standards that limits artists on there rather than uplifting them. " oh you can't use references/shortcuts that's cheating!" "these art tutorials are making me feel bad about my anatomy therefore it's bad!"
Like, I'm sorry. Putting down other artists and their methods of work is not gonna make you better at your craft. If anything, it will make you worse especially if you're planning on doing it professionally.
