Most people don't know the Brad Wing fake wasn't really a called fake. LSU punted and UF only kind of half-assed rushed like 2 people that barely came up field. They had to punt again bc of penalty so everyone was like "well if they do that again just take off"

1972. Florida ties #8 LSU at Florida Field in an absolute monsoon that destroyed the pitch. John Williams kicked a 35-yard FG to tie it at 3-3 with 2:00 left. LSU was 1-8 on FGs in the awful conditions.

John Williams was not only the SEC’s first black kicker, but also (I believe) Florida’s last straight on kicker. After Williams’ last season, the exotic “soccer style” kickers took over led by David Posey and then Berj Yepremian.
