I have had my eye on Howard my entire career, studying its history, witnessing what this university means to the culture. There are so many faculty on this campus whose work I deeply admire. There are so many talented students and staff on this campus I’m excited to support.

The Howard Institute for Advanced Study will feature a residential fellowship program. An annual international class of fellows will pursue projects across disciplines and fields related to race and racism.

It will also be the new home of The Emancipator, CAR’s award-winning digital platform. We plan to enhance the general public’s understanding of racism and evidence-based antiracist solutions through research, collaboration, public lectures, workshops, and outreach programs.
