UX is when you have fewer clicks, and the fewer clicks the more UX it is

tangent but this is reminding me of a recent UI discussion at work, where someone was arguing for some change because that would make it fewer clicks to do a thing, and fewer clicks are always better duh. I tried to explain is that isn't the RIGHT THING though so why would we want to make it easier?
