If you don’t understand at least the operative basic of these things, and the legal tools needed to control them, then you have zero business running for office in 2025.

So many people in power now only understand what they’re told by people who are courting their favour.

I don't disagree with the idea that elected officials must be in tune with the modern world, and many, but not all, older people lack the knowledge and the stamina to be in government. However, like all generalizations, there are exceptions. Blanket statements rarely resonate with me

I'll be 80 in a few months and I agree. I vote for competence and potential continuity. I also really love being retired and consider hanging on to your job after 70 something to be thought through very carefully.
